That time of year has returned for the MA-RE-DESIGN initiative when key partners convene for the Annual Project Planning Workshop, hosted by GIZ.
This year, WWF Thailand proudly joined the workshop as a key partner, bringing insights from our on-the-ground work in Koh Tao and Trang Cities. Our efforts remain focused on reducing the use of single-use plastics in the tourism sector, promoting appropriate packaging waste management practices, and fostering greater public awareness of the importance of comprehensive plastic waste solutions.
MA-RE-DESIGN served as a vital platform for collaboration, bringing together representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as civil society, to collectively strengthen the project’s impact and advance sustainable solutions for plastic waste management.
With only one year left before the project concludes, this gathering was more important than ever—an opportunity to reflect, realign, and co-create strategies to ensure that the project’s achievements can be sustained and expanded independently, long after the formal project period ends.
Because our mission is not just to act, but to build lasting, self-sustaining systems that contribute meaningfully to the reduction of plastic leakage into our oceans.
