Launch of “Thai Park Rangers” Photo Book Showcasing the Frontline of Nature Conservation and Advancing National-Level Collaboration

27 May 2025 – WWF Thailand, in collaboration with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation and Kasetsart University, hosted the Thai Park Rangers event, launching the “Thai Park Rangers” photo book and a photography exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).

The event highlights real-life stories, hardships, and sacrifices of frontline forest rangers—those who play a critical role in protecting over 100 million rai (approximately 40 million acres) of forests and wildlife across Thailand. The initiative aims to raise public awareness and inspire society to support Thailand’s conservation efforts toward progress and sustainability, in line with the commitment: “We protect forests for all Thai people.”

The “Thai Park Rangers” photography exhibition is open to the public with free admission from 27 May to 1 June 2025, located at the 1st floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. The exhibition features documentary-style photographs captured across various protected areas in the country, portraying the rangers’ missions, dedication, and profound sense of duty. It invites visitors to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the value of conservation work.

In addition, the event marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, WWF Thailand, Kasetsart University, and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Thailand. This collaboration aims to elevate the country’s natural resource conservation efforts in line with international standards. The main objectives include capacity building for personnel, establishing working networks, and promoting innovative conservation research.

Behind Thailand’s rich forests are individuals who stand strong with heart and dedication. This collaboration is not just the beginning of a new conservation initiative—it is a testament to our shared commitment to safeguarding Thailand’s natural heritage for the future of us all.
