Community Engagement

The Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex Wildlife Conservation Project, in collaboration with its partners, provided training to local guides from the Kuiburi Community-based Wildlife Tourism Club. The training focused on enhancing their knowledge of wildlife behavior, birds, plants, as well as the rules and regulations for offering tour services in Kuiburi National Park. It also included English language skills related to wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism. Local guides received instruction from a university team, international students, the village headman, Kuiburi National Park staff, and the KKFC project team.

Additionally, the project organizes activities to spread knowledge and raise awareness about combating illegal wildlife trade. These efforts target schools and community networks around Kuiburi National Park, who also conducted a campaign in a market in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
