Procurement of a Waste Collection Vehicle (Single Cab Pickup Truck with Container Box) for Trang Municipality, Trang Province

1. Background and Rationale

To enhance the efficiency of waste collection operations within Trang Municipality, there is a necessity to improve management processes for speed and hygiene. Consequently, the procurement of a waste collection vehicle specifically designed for such operations is required to support waste volume and facilitate staff performance.

2. Objective

To procure one (1) unit of a waste collection vehicle (Single Cab Pickup Truck with Container Box) within the specified budget for waste collection operations in Trang Province.

3. Technical Specifications

3.1. General Characteristics

– ton Diesel Pickup Truck, Single Cab, 4-wheeled type.

– Right-hand drive with power steering system.

– Must be a model manufactured and distributed in the current year of delivery.

– The vehicle and all equipment must be genuine, brand new, and never previously used.

– Equipped with a rear container box (solid box/Carryboy style) suitable for hauling.

3.2. Engine and Transmission System

– Engine: Diesel engine with a displacement of not less than 2,400 cc or a maximum power output of at least 110 kW.

– Water-cooled system according to the manufacturer’s standard.

– Transmission: Manual Transmission.

– Drive System: 2-wheel drive (2WD).

– Clutch system and fuel tank according to the manufacturer’s standard.

3.3. Suspension and Safety Systems

– Structure: Vehicle body and structure according to the manufacturer’s standard.

– Braking System: Front and rear braking systems according to the manufacturer’s standard.

– Suspension: Front and rear suspension systems according to the manufacturer’s standard (Standard Suspension).

– Tires and Wheels: Tires and wheels according to the manufacturer’s standard, including one (1) spare tire.

– Safety:

· Equipped with safety belts according to the manufacturer’s standard.

· Lighting system, warning signals, and all components according to the manufacturer’s standard.

3.4. Convenience and Standard Equipment

– Air conditioning system in the cabin according to the manufacturer’s standard.

– Radio and MP3 player with USB and AUX ports.

– Automotive window tinting film installed according to Department of Land Transport regulations.

– One (1) set of floor mats (rubber trays).

– One (1) set of standard vehicle tools and jack.

– One (1) user manual (Thai language).

– Door visors (left and right).

3.5. Container Box Details (Container Box Modification)

– Structure: Rear container box made of anti-rust steel, including a wind deflector installed on the cab roof.

– Material: Container roof and walls made of high-quality stainless steel.

– Rear Doors: Full-width double rear doors with a locking system.

– Dimensions: Width and length corresponding to the vehicle’s rear bed, with an internal height of at least 1.80 meters from the floor.

– Floor: Bed floor and side edges lined with stainless steel, at least 2.0 mm thick.

– Lighting System:

· Top-mounted signal lights on both sides of the rear container.

· Internal lighting system for the container box.

3.6. Colours and Symbols

– Vehicle and Container: Painted in yellow or other colours as per the agency’s standard specifications. The paint must be high-quality and weather resistant.

– Agency Logo: The agency’s logo and text must be applied to both front doors according to the designated design, using either high-quality paint or stickers as approved by the agency.

– Publicity Graphics: Stickers shall be applied to appropriate positions around the container box. Details regarding text, symbols, or promotional images shall be as specified by the agency or subject to the Employer’s approval.

– Rear Bumper: Equipped with a rear bumper.

4. Bidder Qualifications

– Must be a juristic person professionally engaged in the sale of the petitioned supplies.

– Must be an authorized dealer appointed by the vehicle manufacturer or an authorized distributor in Thailand.

– Must demonstrate readiness for after-sales service and convenient spare parts availability.

5. Warranty

– Vehicle: Quality warranty according to the manufacturer’s standard (e.g., 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first).

– Container Box: Minimum 1-year warranty covering structure, leakage, and the box’s electrical system.

– Insurance: 1-year Compulsory Motor Insurance (CTPL) and 1st-class Voluntary Motor Insurance.

6. Budget

– The proposed budget must include Value Added Tax (VAT), delivery costs, registration fees, and all other related expenses.

– The seller is responsible for vehicle registration and ensuring the container box modification is officially recorded in the registration book.
