Stronger Supply Chains, Empowered Communities, Improved Forest Resilience and Biodiversity, & Knowledge Sharing Beyond Borders Phase 2 Project, aimed at strengthening communities and their capacity to restore biodiversity and knowledge, has entered its second phase. Its goal is to rehabilitate forest ecosystems and increase green spaces in areas allocated for community land use under the government’s land allocation policy (KTC) as of September 1, 2023. The target areas are located within the national forest reserves of Surat Thani province, under the management of the Department of Forestry. The project also aims to support the implementation of measures to resolve land use and habitation issues in national forest reserves, fostering collaboration between the local communities residing in these areas and the Department of Forestry, in line with the Cabinet resolution dated November 26, 2018.
