1. Background and Rationale
To enhance the efficiency of agroforestry promotion activities in Surat Thani Province, the project finds it necessary to improve operational processes to ensure mobility, systematic implementation, and comprehensive access to target areas. Therefore, the project has initiated the procurement of appropriate vehicle and related equipment for field operations to support site monitoring, extension services, and assistance to farmers, as well as to improve the overall effectiveness of project staff performance.
2. Objectives
To procure one (1) vehicle to support and promote agroforestry activities in Surat Thani Province, ensuring efficient field operations within the approved budget.
3. Technical Specifications
3.1 General Characteristics
· Diesel pickup truck, four-wheel type
· Right-hand drive with power steering
3.2 Engine and Transmission
· Engine: Diesel engine with a displacement of not less than 2,000 cc or a maximum power output of not less than 110 kW
· Water-cooled system in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
· Transmission: Manual or automatic
· Drive system: Two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD)
· Clutch system and fuel tank in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
3.3 Suspension and Safety Systems
· Structure: Body and chassis in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
· Braking system: Front and rear brakes in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
· Suspension system: Front and rear suspension in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard (standard suspension)
· Tires and wheels: Standard tires and wheels from the manufacturer, including one (1) spare tire
· Safety features:
o Seat belts installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
o Lighting system, warning signals, and all related components in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
· GPS tracking system installed
3.4 Comfort and Standard Equipment
· Air conditioning system in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard
· Radio and MP3 player with USB and AUX ports
· Window tinting film in compliance with the Department of Land Transport regulations
· One (1) set of rubber floor mats
· Standard vehicle tools and one (1) jack set
· One (1) user manual (Thai language)
· Door visors (left and right)
4. Bidder Qualifications
· Must be a juristic person legally engaged in the sale of the requested goods
· Must be an authorized dealer officially appointed by the vehicle manufacturer or its authorized distributor in Thailand
· Must demonstrate readiness in after-sales service and availability of spare parts
5. Warranty
· Vehicle: Warranty in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard (e.g., 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first)
· Insurance: Compulsory Motor Insurance (CTPL) for one (1) year and first-class voluntary motor insurance
6. Budget
· The proposed budget must include Value Added Tax (VAT), delivery costs, registration fees, and all related expenses
· The seller shall be responsible for vehicle registration
