Background
WWF is a conservation organisation that seeks to advance its mission—a world in which both people and nature thrive—on the fundamental principle that positive outcomes for both people and nature depend on firmly anchoring and integrating human rights into conservation practices. Meaningful integration of GEDSI is core to this approach and a cross-cutting theme for all of our work. In 2023, WWF adopted a Gender Equality Statement of Principles, supported by our core values of courage, integrity, respect and collaboration.
GEDSI Audits will enhance the collective capacity of WWF to examine its workplace culture and values from a GEDSI perspective, as well as identify strengths and gaps in promoting equality. We imagine that the results will benefit participating Country Offices, as well as provide wider scale learning across the Network, by informing more responsive programme and policy development, supporting donor engagement, and providing evidence to nuanced gender issues.
Objectives:
The GEDSI Audits are part of a broader initiative to integrate GEDSI Action Planning across WWF-Asia Pacific offices, and will be instrumental in scaling out best practices throughout the region. The Consultant(s) will work closely with the coordination team to enable a transparent assessment of WWF workplace culture and values towards GEDSI principles and mainstreaming.
The Consultant is expected to comply with WWF Safeguarding and Inclusion policies, and adapt/design all methodologies to be country context appropriate, taking into account: power dynamics of the interviewer/interviewee, length, language and format of surveys, ethnical consent, and anonymity of data, etc.
The Consultant(s) will deliver timely outputs as listed below.
