Wildlife

We need to value our diverse wildlife.

We share our world with an extraordinary diversity of plants and animals, each playing a vital role in the intricate web of life that sustains us all. However, this precious wildlife is in grave danger—since 1970, wildlife populations have plummeted by over half, with many species teetering on the brink of extinction.

Why does this matter?

Wildlife is essential to the health of our planet, yet human activities are pushing them to the edge. Habitat destruction and the illegal wildlife trade, both local and international, are among the most significant threats. In Asia, demand for wildlife parts and products fuels this destructive trade, a crisis further compounded by organised crime networks.
